You can buy a double compression fitting and join the line together with it. That's what should have been done in the first place. Just make sure lines are smooth on ends. Buy at auto parts or hardware store. Measure diameter of line across end where cut. Minimal cost, The person at store will know what you need. Part will have a nut on each end inside each will be a brass coned sleeve. In middle threads on each end and a nut shape in middle. Slide nuts on pipe then coned sleeves and attach both to center piece on at a time ,hold center with wrench push line in and tighten nut with another wrench then do same for other end. That should be a permanent fix.You wont need to replace lines.
The trans line pressure for this car is not that high and it's okay to use fuel grade rubber line. Try slipping the hose on a bit further and double clamping it.
The best thing to do is to flare the steel line a little where you put the rubber hose on so it gets some traction, then double clamp it at both ends.
This should hold it for years or until you feel like putting steel back on it. Make sure the rubber hose is fuel grade because other lines will degrade with exposure to oil.
Good luck.
it ought to o.k. be the coils, yet regrettably it may additionally be a leaking header (or 2), and it may additionally be a wiped out O2 sensor on the intake (or on the cat converter), using fact while those placed on out they have an inclination to make the computing device lean out the air/gas adequate to reason diverse cylinders to misfire. only offering opportunities, no longer bringing you down lol good success!
