Cheap travel plans to new york?
Me and my wife is planning to go to ny to see a concert at madison square garden this october, we are in a tight budget since it came up on a very short notice, we already got the plane tickets covered and my question is where is the most efficient way to rent a place out there, doesnt necessarily have to be really close to madison sq garden,we just want an accessible form of transportation like a bus or a train, probably about 5-10 miles to madison square garden or downtown

I've stayed at the Woodbridge Hilton in New Jersey, which is in easy walking distance of a New Jersey Transit commuter train station. The train takes about 40 minutes, and leaves you directly underneath Madison Square Garden. The train runs regularly, including some late night service.
