On all of the "favorite classical music" questions, why is Chopin never included in anybodys answer?
I know he composed basically just for piano and a lot of his stuff has similar aspects, but still.
Is it just me? Maybe because I play piano?
Can't seem to figure it out.

Chopin is by far my favourite composer. I heard on ABC radio bagging Chopin saying that his pieces lacked structure and his concertos were the only good pieces, but I'd have to disagree with that. Chopin's music is unknown to musicians except pianists. It's exactly like Paganini. He is famous with violinists (love his 24th caprice), but is virtually unknown to pianists (unless you are playing a variation on the theme of his 24th caprice).
Because he composed chiefly for the piano, unlike Beethoven or Mozart who composed for a variety of instruments. While Chopin is the pre eminent composer of the piano, he is still very well known among pianists, moreso than Liszt, who composed/transcribed far more pieces.
I don't know, but I love Chopin. I think Chopin is great. He is one of my favorite composers.
i like all of the composers- how dare they leave out chopin!- they all have/had differant ways of creating music there is no word describing how good they sound. i play oboe clarinet- hince the name- and some keyboard. i like alot of the classical stuff but i also like modern music. chopin, i think, was the composer of the section feature from 6th grade. i like all thier music so much some times i loose track of what i'm listening to (composer wise) but to leave chopin out is, is... aghhhhhhhhh! >:< none of them should be left out. NONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!
i also dun seem to see chopin much in that list...anyways i like that guy cause his music can be introduces a lot of rubato and i like it cause my tempo isn't great but i love to place my rubatos in pieces...even when its not supposed to be there lols...his hand isn't that big either(same like me!)...
