About 20 years ago, a cosmologist posited a way to build a wormhole and accelerate one end to near the speed of light. Because time passes more slowly at such speeds, the time at one end would pass more slowly than at the other. After moving one end a lot, you could pass through the wormhole from the stationary end to the moved end and go backwards in time.
However, you could never go back earlier than the time at which the wormhole had been constructed.
Also, we don't have the technology to do this now.
According to the Theory of relativity by Mr. Albert Einstein, the time travel can be possible.
Theory of relativity suggests that the clock of man having a more motion speed than the clock of non moving person comparatively slower.
So if a man having a speed almost at the speed of light his clock speed means time for him is much slower than others. so he is like in future.
E.g. there are brothers having same age. If one from them takes a plane having speed similar to light and goes to roam to some years. After returning from his journey the age of both brothers is not same.
As the time for the brother having plane is slower than the other his age is lower than his brother, So u can say that he is in future of his brother.
Major drawback of this theory is u cant travel reversely like from current date to past. But there is also a theory that if u cross the speed of light u might travel back in past.
All this things are still in research and are still a theories.
Yeah, time travel is possible... traveling into the future (more than just 1 second per second... like we are now) is possible.
The faster you travel, the further into the future you go Basically... This is due to something called Time dilation, which i can explain more if you'd like. (just ask)
Traveling BACK in time is somewhat harder... And you can't travel back before you made the time machine.
However... if somebody had already built a time machine (using a wormhole and effects of time dilation) then you could use it to go back in time, from your point of view.
The technology to allow us to go back in time is a LONG way off, if we can ever get it stable enough to work.
However traveling into the future could potentially be done tomorrow if we had a ship capable of reaching the speeds...
any travelers on the ship wouldn't be able to get back to their own time tho, They would be stuck in the future.
Did I answer this question next week? I think I did already.... Just joking. I don't think it will ever be possible. If it was then people would be traveling back to today and we would know. Unless it is covered up by section 8 of the government.
You could either travel to an alternate universe where your actions dont affect your existence in the future (because you are from a different universe)
Or you can go back in time in your own timeline and affect nothing because anything that does not logically comply with the current structure of that universe is not possible.

So...... No.
If it was possible time travelers would exist in all eras of future, past and present history.
No. Time travel by definition is not possible.
We are traveling forward in time, so yes, backwards no.
