i have liked this girl for a long time but she is one of those popular girls and she is amazing when its just me and her but when the other popular kids come around she is completely different and flirts with all of the other guys right in front of me. im confused and im not sure if i should keep liking her and hopefully she will eventually like me or should i just give up?

It sounds to me like she thinks of you as a really good friend. It can be painful to hold on and it can be painful to let go but if you hang on the pain will be prolonged.
