I got a check from my uncle who live basically on the other side of england from me.
He put my christian name on it instead of my first name. My christian name isn't on my birth certificate or any other form of ID. The only thing is my oyster card that has my initials, and some random letters that I get in the post.
If I tell the bank that its my middle name, will I be able to cash it?

the best option is try cashing it and explaining it. If they won't cash it, send it back to your uncle and get a new check.
Good luck.
I don't think so. Have your uncle re-write the check in your name so you can cash it. It's better doing this than to explain to the teller that this is really your name - good luck!
depends on the bank's policy.
usually, they won't allow it.
just ask your uncle to make another one for you.
