I came to see my doctor when I was sick, she noticed my blood pressure was very low..she then ordered a ekg and some blood work, then I get a call that a echo is also needed... my mom died at 57 from congestive heart failure and she had her first heart attack at 40.. im worried if the test she already took showed something, I am 40 now so im really scared

In addition to what Sinus Rhythm said (Dylan was better, seems strange to call you Sinus Rhythm!!!) anyway an echo provides better information over blood tests and ECG with respect to certain conditions and directly tells the cardiologist about the function and efficiency of the heart so it is just about being comprehensive, it is an easy non invasive pain free procedure so stress less because that is good for your heart.....cheers
Being frightened accomplishes nothing, following up with a cardiologist accomplishes a lot more.
Time to be an adult.
echo -Cardiograhms are the cheaper alternative to find Problems in the heart and and valves... an Xray is good but is a picture not moving
Floroscopes (the moving versions or Xrays) give off so much radiation It could cause cancer
CAT scans are time consuming also expensive to operate...
Echo's/ sonograhm are more portable cheeper to operate and show everything... things such as Aortic Aneurysms, will show up
The Doctor Just wants to exclude any major cardiovascular Disease that you could possibly have because of your Family history. And to make sure your heart is Healthy
Good luck
