I'm a 16 year old virgin. I use tampons, but I'm not sure how I haven't popped my cherry...tampons go deeper into the vagina than most penises. Please explain this to me? Because If I wasn't using tampons and I was sexually active, then my cherry would have popped...yes? And if anyone knows the real term for your cherry popping, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

I wish people would stop using this phrase. It creates more confusion and misunderstanding than any other.
You do not have anything deep in your vagina that's called a "cherry", and you do not have anything deep in your vagina that "pops" during sex or tampon usage. What you may or may not still have is a membrane called a hymen, that used to be considered proof of virginity (it isn't). This membrane is part of the external genitalia and can tear during intercourse, as well as from various non-sexual physical activities. So it doesn't matter how "deep" anything goes. If it goes in any depth at all, it's already past the hymen.
If your bleeding obviously on your period and using tampons then how would you know if you popped your "cherry" anyway?? Yea thats defenitely the wrong term lol but i know exactly what youre talking about! Also most penises are larger (in width maybe not length in some cases) than tampons so you cant really compare the two.
