I want to go to australia but don't know where to start or what to do. I got my passport thats about it. I live in Texas. Do I need a visa, etc...? what is fun over there. My main goal is to just get away from my divorce and explore life a little. But i want to make sure everything is clear and legal. I plan to go for a long period of time. maybe a few months. 3-6months. If you can give me advice i would really appreciated it. Thank you

I'm sorry I can't help you with the legalities, but as for fun stuff, there is heaps to do here. As you say you want to get away from it all, I would suggest probably going up North where it's warmer, and a lot more secluded. Maybe fly into Melbourne (best city) and then make your way up through Alice Springs and Ayers Rock and then further up to Darwin and then back down the west coast to Perth. SLOWLY. The outback, when you get right into the middle and see a lot of the Aboriginal culture and everything, is very spiritual, is such a huge place and you are only one tiny person there with not many others around, you really get to think about things alot. A trip like this you could do in 2 weeks if you were to rush through it and then settle somewhere, but to get the most out of it I would take 2 months or more.
And then maybe after you've found yourself you could go to Queensland and check out the theme parks there, party a little. Great Barrier Reef is there as well, maybe a cruise or at least a dip.
HOpe you find what you're looking for.
