I'm trying to figure out what the cheapest way to get a plane ticket to Leeds would be. Would it be easiest if I flew to Manc then took a train to Leeds, or even a ticket to London then take a train there? Does Manchester really have that big of an airport? Also, should I book it at last minute, or in advance? I've noticed the last minute flights were like $800 as opposed to the future, which is nearyl $1400. I need to save up as much money as I can, would rather have more spending money and save a bit of flight money. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!
Oh and PS if it helps I'd be flying from airport code CHS (I live in Charleston, SC - in America).

Yes, Manchester Airport (MAN) is big - it's the busiest airport in the country outside the London area, and has flights around the world, and you can get a direct train from there to Leeds. Certainly a better bet than trying to get a flight into Leeds-Bradford Airport. I'd use Manchester anytime in preference to London Heathrow or Gatwick.
Fly to Manchester and then get the train
