Travel to Philippines - Bayugan City?
I am traveling to the Philippines in January for about 20 days. Specifically I will be in Manila for a few days and then fly to Butuan City and take a van to Bayugan City. I know this is in Mindanao. Is this area safe for me? I would also like to know of nice places to take my wife for dinner in Manila and any other pointers that you make have like decent places to stay close to the US Embassay. The Butuan/Bayugan area is safe for you to travel and to stay but be aware, it will rain a lot on January and February
butan city is one of the 5 major cities in mindanao, quite far from where the rebel fighting is going on. local officials have created a task force that would augment the city’s regular police force in fighting all forms of criminality and ensuring peace and order in the locality. it's safe!
