If you are coming from Western NY why are you going anywhere near Philly?

Get to Route 80 in PA and go east. You'll be so far north you probably won't see a sign for Philly.

I frequently travel from PA to NJ so if you can clarify where you are originating from (or maybe you are making a stop in Lancaster area near Philly) I could better assist you.

Ummmh... I don't know where in Jersey you are going. But if you are coming by way of the PA Turnpike (I-76) or I-476 than you can get on I-276 north of Philly to get into Jersey. Oryou can take I-476 south to where it ends at I-95 and then cross the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Anyway you go you will hit traffic.

it depends where you are heading in NJ. if you are heading across the southern tier of NY then get on to I-81 south and then pick up I-476 south you can pick up I-276 and head east and cross over into NJ to pick up the NJ turnpike at their exit #6. then you can head into south jersey on the turnpike or north towards north jersey and New York City.

otherwise, you can stay on I-476 after the toll roll ends. you will have another 20 miles until you hit I-95 at which you then can head south (away from Philly) and pick up the Commodore Barry Bridge or the Delaware Memorial Bridge into South Jersey. if you go north on I-95 from I-476 you won't hit center city of you take the Walt Whitman Bridge into south Jersey and then take I-676 to Rte 42 south and then the Atlantic City Expressway to hit some of the shore points.

ok maybe i need to look at a map but penn is south of NJ and new york is above NJ so wouldnt u just go from NY to NJ and not even worry about philly
