How long the day has to be so that people in the equator lose their weight?
Have exam tomorrow, but suck in physics, why why why... I study genetic engineering, do i really need that?
For centripetal acceleration at the equator to equal the gravitational acceleration, just equate the 2:
Re*w² = g → w = √[g/Re] = √[9.81/6.376E6] = .00124 rad/sec
T = 2π/w = 5065.46 sec = 1 hr 24 min 25 sec
Can you reword the question as it has been put to you?
