Im pregnant and I heard alot of woman on this sight say it can bring on labor. I wanna start drinking it when im around 39 weeks..ill be 38 weeks this saturday..
I would save your money! I drunk loads of the stuff and it didnt do a thing for me! I still had to be induced at 42 weeks. Baby will come when it is ready. Good luck.xx
I would skip the tea..its a supplement that is not regulated by the FDA which means there can be side effects no one knows of yet cause no one has studied it for a long period of time...
If you want to induce labor (or at least help it get started or help it progress) here are some safe natural ways..no gimmick's or magic cures..just plain honest truth.
1. Have warm bathes to help you relax - the more tense you are the longer your body will fight off going into labor
2 Have sex - your husband needs to ejaculate inside of you and he needs to spend a lot of time playing with your nipples - nipple stimulation and a hormone in semen both help induce labor.
3. Lots and lots of walking - drink plenty of water while you walk
4. Eat some good food (thick soup, or a stew), and drink plenty of water - your body will refuse to dilate from any contractions if you are dehydrated.
5. Lastly do some deep breathing and meditating - your own mental state (being so anxious) can be a cause for your bodies lack of labor.
Raspberry leaf tea you can get pretty much anywhere. Celestial Seasonings makes Zinger Raspberry tea that is pretty good too.
I am 39 weeks with my 2nd son, and have been drinking it for weeks now. All it does is tones your uterus to prepare it for l & d so that it is shorter and easier on mom and baby. You may experience an increase in braxton hicks, but it should not put you into labor.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it does no such thing. That particular tea is used to stop diarrhea. Raspberry leaf tea slows down the intestines and gives it time to absorb nutrients.
i dont know about the tea, but i took raspberry leaf tablets from about 34 weeks...they are supposed to help to get your body ready for birth by ripening your cervix...
i dont know if they worked or not, my daughter was a little late but on the other hand my entire labor was an hour and twenty minutes from my first contraction to the time she was born...
im due in December and will be taking them again...why mess with what worked the first time...
You should never take or try anything to bring on labor, unless it is ordered by your doctor. That can be very harmful to you and your baby. Your baby will come when he/she is ready to... don't do something that may end up harming your child...
Most grocery stores should have it in their tea and coffee section. Just find the herbal teas along side the other tea and it should be there, probably in more than one brand.

My midwife told me that it doesn't bring on labour but that she has never known a woman, who drank it from 37 weeks, who didn't have a short labour.
