firstly it is free and not only to you upload your pictures onto the website you can then add them to catagories and they print a magazine called jpg every month that is purely contributer based. (and if you get published you get a free subscription to the magazine!) people are very friendly on there and are always willing to give suggestions etc.

It's free. But if you want to have all these other extra stuff onto it, it costs.

Flickr is good, however I like Photozo.com. It's free and people randomly comment. They also have contest and other things.
