I considered Ortho-Tricyclen (the sister product to Ortho-Tricyclen Lo) several years back because of acne issues but my doctor told me no because of the fact that it's notorious for causing breakthrough bleeding (bleeding that acts a lot like a period but isn't).

I've met other women who have tried this and had good results but have also met others that had problems with breakthrough bleeding.

The pill can cause some weight gain because of the hormones in the medication (I've had this happen with other kinds of birth control pills).
