Well, as a person, I'm very anxious. Like just a while ago, I took an anxiety test and got 73 out of 100! I'm just 14 years old! Also, sometimes at night, I can't sleep anymore because all these scary thoughts go in my head of me doing something wrong to someone I love. I think about religion, fear, injustice, losing my sanity and I worry so much I can't stop! Can anyone help me because I feel like I'm on edge most of the time! Also, how do you control your thoughts? Sometimes things just enter my mind (I'm not even thinking of anything and things just go in) and I can't get them out and I become even more scared! What an I do?

First of all, don't worry! Growing up brings a lot of new thoughts into one's brain, and some of them might be frightening too. I had a lot of nightmares too back then and now im all fixed up :D One thing you have to consider: family. Many people got their anxiosity from their parents expecting too much. I had a phobia (still awake sometimes) that I did things wrong, like didn't lock the door after leaving home etc because my parents shouted at me a lot when I was a kid and did something wrong without noticing it. That may plant a fear into your heart, but it would be a loooong talk to discuss it all. About nightmares - I had a lot and I had to figure out how to get rid of them. One method is to think about it as a movie, with all actors and fake stuff you know, imagine a bell ring, everyone getting up, removing costumes and going for a nice coffee in the buffet, chit-chatting laughingly. Finding a religion, accepting imperfectness, understanding life and death can ease the weight of the problems. I meditated a lot and tried several religions, in the end I created one for myself with gods I accept. Won't make you popular if you admit it :D but it may help to find peace. Hope it helps.
I used to have thoughts like that, if you take control of your life, make decisions that grip your life, then you'll stop those thoughts.
Find the source of this anxiety. Being 14, you have alot of pressure on you - School, family, religion etc. The best cure is to spend time with your close friends and family, you'll realize the fun parts in life. I don't usually say this, but you could try Yoga or meditating? It helps calm you down, but it's up to you.
There can be alot of things causing this anxiety, all of them tackling you at once makes you feel worried, and so your mind plays tricks on you. If you feel you can't control your thoughts, then think. Think about the 'bad' things that are entering your mind. You should come to realization that you don't want to do that, as long as the action isn't done, the thoughts aren't as bad.
Also, if you can't sleep, there is a possibility that you want to sleep, but just can't- It happens to alot of people. So if you're panicking you could have weird thoughts.
Hope everything turns out fine for you, trust me it won't stay like that forever - It's a bumpy stage in life. Good luck! :)
This may not be what you want to hear--but it is the truth.
Fourteen is a tough age to be. You are no longer a kid--but you are not an adult. You are maturing physically and emotionally, and learning things you never knew before. You are thinking about things that, as a kid, you never thought, or worried, about.
Intrusive, scary thoughts come from stress and feeling anxious and overwhelmed.
You need to build your confidence and find ways to de-stress and relax.
many people use relaxation techniques--such as slow, deep breathing, to calm their body (pulse, blood pressure--which helps calm your mind down.
yo sup! :)
I am 16 and I'v been recently going through something very similar. I noticed there is a good amount of teens who go through the same things just like us, how ever! it's just all in the head, and all you have to do is chill :) do something fun, eat healthy, work out, hang out with friends, take your mind off the thoughts. the bad thoughts ARE NOT real. :) message me if you have any questions :)
but don't be afraid to reach a phycologist! lol
Actually I personally am going through the same thing. it just started. but I know it will go away! but do not fear :)
You must conquer your fear. Try not to think of any scary thought that would disturb your sleep. Focus on happy and exciting things. Another way is to stay up doing something, and when you are really tired you found your self sleeping without having any scary thought!
I think you're not, it's just that you are drown by those negativity around you that you think is making you insane even though it's not. Just observe your personality more everyday specially if you think that it's already out of normality already. And then that's the moment that you'll consult that issue to the experts or specialists to help you out.
I think the best way to get those things off your mind is to keep yourself busy with something you love to do. Sports, mountain climbing, puzzle books, reading, walking a dog, exercise, bike riding, keep your mind busy so you don't have so much time to think of other things. Wear yourself out!!
hi cookies and cream, you sound like a smart young woman, the fellings and thoughts you are having might be related to some thing that is on your mind, when this happens just sit back and maybe just listen to music or write this down you should try to relax, good luck
