Both are free, as powerful as paid programs, like Norton and McAfee, and don't use up as many resources.

Just boot into Safe Mode (Press F8 when turning on the computer) and run full scans.

You probably have a virus, the best free antivirus programs that i know of are: avg and avira antivir.

just reboot your computer it will get rid of any vireses. Just make sure you save all important documents to a memory stick so that you dont lose it because everything will be taken off your computer
