If you have vista try going into the start menu then to accessories and open windows mobility center. Then click extended desktop or second monitor something like that.
if you right click you scroll down to graphics properties (for XP not sure about VISTA) and that may help too. BUT make sure to switch it back to the way it was before if u want to go mobile as you will have a blank screen otherwise :) Try the function (Fn) key and f4 trick first. FYI: my dell 6000 is F8 and it says CRT/LCD on it thats the key u use if it says that on any other "F" key this is not always the case Consult the manuel that may help ALSO FYI: if you cant find it go to the maker ie dell hp etc and put in ur model number and download a manuel that way u'll always have it
I think you would have to switch the displays. Usually with the laptops, you can switch the displays by pressing the Function (Fn) key and one of the keys at the top. Like F4, F5 etc.
You can try the key combinations because I do not know which laptop you have.
So press and hold the Fn key and then press F2 till F10. One of those would give you display on your TV
right click on the desktop or something then go to properties, or nvidia control panel, could be intel too depends on what ur graphics are. there is a setting in one of those to send the signal to the tv. also u might need to change ur resolution to fit the tv screen. did all this before along time ago, forgot the exact steps tho
Did you try adjusting which display your laptop uses? Usually ALT+F5 brings up the display settings.
get a new cable?
