So what you should do is just compliment him every now and then. I have the very best solution for you... invite him to take you somewhere! You can acheive this from a bet or just simply asking him. Make a fun bet with him like, "I bet our football team will win the next game" and then make the bet be "If I win, you have to take me to the mall and help me pick out a gift for my mom" or whatever you can think of that would work. I'm concerned about why he is jerk to everyone else? This seems to be a red flag to me? Sounds also like alot of infatuation and not real true feelings?

If he's a jerk you might get a reputation for dating jerks! Why do it? Is he nice to your other friends? To flirt with someone usually comes naturally so let nature tke it's course.
