Imagine you are running and you end your dribble and take two steps to finish at the basket (a layup), most common move in basketball so it's obviously not a travel. But what about if you stop while still dribbling, pick up the ball with two hands and take two steps? Is that a legal move? I've witnessed everyone whenever they pick up the ball they just stop, but could you just take two extra steps?
