I hand a ac guy come out and he replaced the fan run cap and contactor, everything worked fine for 2 days then the main in the house triped, after looking everything over and turned main back on AC will not start and gets a burning smell, I am sitting here looking at the cap and relizel the guy hooked the fan to the threm post on the dual run cap.

my questions is what did this do ? cap is a 40+5. is my cap and contactor now fried ?
