It depends on the type of training they did. Maybe one trained more intense than the other..
Actually if you look on youtube there's a video of Bruce Lee fighting a Muay Thai guy. It's acting, but it's still pretty awesome and gives you a good look at the way both styles might interact if they were to be pitted against each other.
That being said, as much of a fan I am of Wing Chun, I think Muay Thai has an advantage. There is never a clear winner in a "Who would win" fight, though. Why do I think Muay Thai has an advantage?
Wing Chun- Extremely close range, short power strikes.
Muay Thai- Elbows and knees which are close range, as well as kicks and other manuevers that utilize full body rotation.
Essentially what we're gonna be seeing is a jack hammer fighting a drill with spikes attached to it.
The heck lol Wing Chun has elbows and kness too!! Either of them could win It's all circumstances really. Muay Thai is more likely to win in a ring or cage since it's a sport and Wing Chun is more likely to win on the street since it has techniques like eye gouging, groin shots, fish hooking, head butts, and other stuff. Although an individuals training is the biggest determination for success at anything
Muay Thai thx for the 2 points
This has been a fight I have been very curious to see.
I want to say Wing Chun but there are very strong arguments for Muay Thai. I'm torn.
