what does O.L. mean in the win/loss column?
such as carolina hurricanes have a record of.....2W---3L---1OL
if it is overtime loss, why isnt there an overtime win column?
W - Win = 2 points
OL - Overtime Loss = 1 point
L - Loss = 0 points
You don't see an overtime win, because it's the same 2 points as a Win.
An overtime win simply counts as a win and a team gets 2 points. For an overtime loss a team gets 1 point.
OL stands for Overtime Loss. An overtime is a period which is after regulation time. Only if the teams are tied after regulation they go in overtime
overtime loss. It means that at the end of the regular time periods, they both get one point. The winner gets 2 if they win just one if they loose
overtime losses
overtime loss
W-L-OTL-SOL
if you win in overtime then you get a win your in the W, if you lose your in the OTL, same as in the shoot out if you win your in the W, and if you lose your in the SOL. you only get the actual lost if you lose in regulation.
