Better for what? Taekwondo is not a martial art, rather an umbrella term for some 75 styles of Korean martial art. No martial art is better than another. They are only sets of skills you learn, they are not on a pecking order of best to worst.
I am a brown belt in Taekwondo and I've resently started doing muay thai (about 5 months ago). I find that Muay Thai is far superior to Taekwondo as far as punching goes. The kicks hit harder (Not as in they more painful or doing more damage, but more firm) in Muay Thai but are slower and less versatile than taekwondo. If you had to choose to do one I would say Muay Thai is better but I would still consider it extremely useful to know Taekwondo because you will have so many more options striking wise when it comes to kicks.

muay thai definitely, taekwondo teaches you how to kick and punch... muay thai teaches you how to fight
Better is subjective. It's not the form, it's the fighter.
Whichever one you're better at performing.
Any other answer is opinion. In my opinion. lol
