Youtube watches videos before they allow them to be show. It could be that yours violates the Terms. It might be porn or something else. If so, reconsider.
YOU DON'T NEED ANY DOWNLOADERS OR CONVERTERS. SOME PEOPLE ON
YAHOO! ARE ACTUALLY DISGUISED SALESPEOPLE TRYING TO 'SUCKER' YOU
INTO BUYING THEIR BOGUS AND UNNECESSARY SOFTWARE.
How long your video takes to upload and then
process depends on lots of variables: internet
connection speed, compression, size of your
video file and the available bandwith (meaning
YouTube's upload traffic). So please consider:
People all over the globe are uploading videos
to YouTube literally every second of every day
(13 hours' worth every minute according to the
YouTube blog of October 27, 2008).
Because they are all uploading different types
of videos (like AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, etc) in
different lengths using different compressions,
YouTube says it can actually take up to a fun
8 hours before your video has finally uploaded
(meaning "processed"), although sometimes
it actually can take several days.
The main reason for this is because YouTube
must still "decompress", "convert", "process",
"database" and "index" everybody's video into
their universal format -- thus ensuring that any
computer around the world can easily access
and play any YouTube video. If often happens
that YouTube's servers will just "drop the ball".
If after 8 hours, your computer is still showing
you the disparaging "processing, please wait",
it may be time to reluctantly pull the plug and
click "Remove Video" -- to start all over again.
YouTube says their ideal format compression
is MPEG4 at 480x360 resolution. Other kinds
of files which are accepted include AVI, MPG,
MOV and WMV (Windows Movie Maker).

Even if your video has successfully uploaded,
you might still get any of these 4 possibilities
before your vid is finally and truly on YouTube:
-- you don't see your video within "My Videos";
-- you only see the grey-&-white camera icon;
-- you see the video thumbnail with all its info
but when you try to play it, it says "this video
is unavailable" or "this video is not processed";
-- your video is there on your profile page, but
doesn't show up in search results, even if you
have typed in your username & the video title.
Once your video makes it on the YT airwaves,
there is always the possibility that YouTube's
computer algorithms have yet figure out which
20 other videos will be in the "Related Videos"
section. Don't be surprised if that part doesn't
show anything right away and is blank.
I hope my answer is somewhat helpful to you.
My son tried importing a video he made onto my account final weekend & it pronounced a similar factor. He extensively utilized domicile windows action picture Maker. He substitute into very dissatisfied cuz it did no longer artwork suited for him. don't be attentive to why it did no longer artwork in view that he did a similar factor with a video particularly much a 365 days in the past & it worked then.
Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...
Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..
The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.
--for best editing....
use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.
or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....
this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.
Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.
It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.
It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"
