I think you mean "possession." If you have an FM2 that tells me you have lived in Mexico for some time. You do not need to get a tourist permit when you drive back into Mexico . Your FM2 is sufficient to enter Mexico. I presume you have a car permit on your car already. It is valid as long as your FM2 is valid.

Yes , you need a Permit for your Car if you have left Mexico during the process.

What they do is record the Car on your FM2 and you will never have to worry about it again.

I have a friend from BC that still has stickers and plates from 1985 and it does not matter what year it is.

BTW Howard So, Yes take the Car on a $25.00 permit and where ever you are in Mexico they will come and take off the Sticker and you Don`t ever have to Worry about it again.
