Wow, Sweetheart you need to calm down and just relax. Getting all upset and stressed out is not good for you or your precious baby!

First thing I want to say to you is that "lightning does not strike twice in the same place"!

It is not really all that uncommon for an at home pregnancy test to not pick up sufficient levels of HCG until you were 21 days late. A blood test can pick them up much earlier.

No one knows why some women will miscarry so early on in their pregnancy. The classic wisdom is that there was some abnormality of the embryo that led nature to terminate the pregnancy. The low level of HCG did not cause you to miscarry.

You know before at home pregnancy tests and the other early means of detecting pregnancy many women just thought that their periods were late and never even knew that they miscarried. They might have suspected but they did not really know. Thankfully we live in a day and age where pregnancy can be pinpointed much earlier. But, in another way it gives us more time to worry about things too.

There is NO reason to think that this pregnancy would in any way resemble that other pregnancy. There is no reason to believe that this pregnancy is in danger.

Quit worrying honey, it is not good for you or the baby. Go ahead and be excited! Focus on all those wonderful feelings and banish the negative ones! They do not do you or your baby any good!

Have fun and enjoy your pregnancy. See your doctor when you are supposed to and take your prenatal vitamins. (talk to her about your concerns too!) Eat well and get plenty of rest. This is such a magical, special time in your life, enjoy it!

Here is a story for you. My best friend got pregnant. Miscarried. She was so devastated. I couldnt understand cuz I have had 3 kids 0 miscarriages. She had a D&C. About 8 wks later she concieved again. She was approx. 12 wks and she woke up in the middle of the night with severe cramping and heavy bleeding. She bled so much that she passed out. She also passed a huge clot that scared the crap out of her. She was so severly depressed. Her doc said that she had had a miscarriage again. She had her levels drawn on a Friday afternoon. Her levels were lower than what they should have been for as far along as she was. That didnt matter to her she didnt know how she was going to make it through her 2nd miscarriage in less than 3 months. She went back to the doctors again on Monday to have her bllod drawn again and schedule yet another D&C. She was called the next day with the greatest new of all. Her HCG levels were not decreasing but rising. Still lower than what the doc wanted. Never the less Carter turned a year old this passed Saturday and she is expecting again in January. Do not worry. You will be fine CONGRATS

There have been many women with low hCG levels who ended up having a healthy child. The level charts are only approximate and shouldn't be taken as hard fact. If your doctor says your levels are low but the fetus is okay, he might suggest some sort of hormonal supplement.
