Itchy fish.. Ph levels?
I thought my cichlids were itching (rubbing on rocks and flicking) as they needed a water change.. So I have done one this morning and I have just tested the water and everything's ok. Just the ph is a bit too low.. 6.8 could this be the reason or do they have a problem?

wont be the ph level because anything inbetween 6.5 and 7.5 is fine for fresh water tropicals within reason maybe some skin irratiion try stress croat treatment and water conditioner most brands today stress coat is a condtioner to .
Fix your PH and I'm 75% sure they have Ick because flicking and rubbing on rocks is one of the symptoms of Ick if they do have ick add aquarium salt and dose the amount recommended.
