Captain Matticus is "right", or well to say that time and space are related not in the sense that Time goes through space as you would say a ball through liquid, but more so to say that time and space are intrinsically connected so much that each is a side of the same coin.

Back to your question, there is such a thing as a fourth dimension, it is mathematically proven and you can convert a 3 dimensional object into a 4th dimensional object through the use of matrices.

As to the last part of your question talking about time travel, we can travel through time theoretically. If we were to increase our speed and approach the speed of light, time would pass for us at a normal pace 5 seconds would pass and we would feel no different, however, space around us will change astronomically pushing yourself thousands to millions of years in the future. Think about taking a trip to the nearest galaxy and back 'at' the speed of light, by the time you would get back it would feel like a small amount of time has pasted for you, however it would be approx 500,000 years in the future.

First, that video is about the 4th spatial dimension, not the temporal dimension, which is our normal dimension four.

Second, we do not...not...travel into the future using time dilation. All we do, after lagging behind, is catch up with the present when returning to the static frame of reference.

There is only present time, the current unfolding of events. Aboard the moving platform there is present time for it. And on the reference static frame, it too has a present time, but it's going faster than the present time on the moving platform. But both are present times. And that's what we end up with when we hop off the moving platform, the present time on the static reference frame; nothing in the future, where events have yet to unfold.

Third, all space around us does not advance millions of years into the future, the only space that does that is the static reference frame used to measure time by, e.g., Earth when flying at v speed relative to Earth. For example, if we were flying near the speed of light and an asteroid were following along behind at just a tad slower, time aboard that asteroid would be just slightly, not millions of years, ahead of us. Why? Because relative to that asteroid we'd be going slowly.

You don't have to walk to travel to the future, you can sit still and do that.

The only possible time traveling is what we are already doing. We advance forward in time 1 second every second, our space ship has only 1 gear and 1 speed, no brakes and no reverse.
