Time dilation can be caused by huge gravitational pressure, like that of a black hole. If you were able to safely travel around a black hole for 10 years, you would have only aged 5 years that that of people on Earth.
And relativity shows us that if you were able to travel 99% the speed of light, time would be going relativity slower for you than those people on the outside.
But if you mean time travel as in being able to travel hundreds of years into the future, or change ann event in the past, then no.
Well. Technically yes since we're all traveling in time as we speak. Time never pauses and it's rate never changes. However, in this time in life, most people ask that same question but want to know if it's possible to go back in time or skip a period in time before it happens. That kind of time travel is impossible. Think of it this way. You are currently in the present, yea? If you were to go back in time, you would see your own self doing what it was you were doing before. How is it possible that you can be in the same material place as your own self, that's impossible. This also works with trying to go into the future. The future is happening every second. But what if you want to skip one hour into the future. That's cheating the rate of time which defies all laws of physics. Not even if in a hundred years, we have the most amazing technology can we travel forward or back in time. It doesn't even seem reasonable. There no scientific research, reasons or ways that can back this up without making it sound like rubbish.
All those theories that say black holes/ worm holes can make you time travel don't make sense. A black holes can suck everything into itself and is so powerful that that not even light can escape it. How the hell can someone survive being suck into a giant mass of extreme energy at a speed faster than the speed of light. They even said on tv that someone would literally be stretched to much that they would eventually disappear within a second or less.
Not only possible but we're all travelling through time every day. However if you're asking if an effect can precede its own cause I don't belive it can - it just opens up too many paradoxes.
Einstein showed us that the rate of change of time varies from one observer to the other which means that we can travel into the future at different rates (we're not limited to 1 second every second), for example you may one day be able to get a space ship go really fast and come back to Earth to find the Earth has aged 20 years and you have aged only a few minutes.
I stress though, in my opinion this is a one way trip, there is simply no way to travel back in time.
Time travel is possible but only to the future and not backwards. Time is relative to a person's location and is slowed down by gravitational bodies and traveling very fast or close to the speed of light. Unless technology advances drastically, the time travel into the future will be very minimal like a day or less.

Theoretically, yes.
There is time dilation and relativity.

It would be only possible once we find a way to travel faster than the speed of light... Which the physicists are currently working on
no
to explain it simple words
if, in the far future, it becomes possible
time traveling would be traveling to a different dimension
different history
not to mention that if it's instant then it's faster than light
so impossible http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-221...
yes
forward only
i have moved forward in time (as have you)as i type this answer
no
