iPhone 3G trouble?
Won't let me download apps from phone: I log in and it says -> can't verify, hook up to iTunes et cetera.
When I try with the computer: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error has occurred (-9808). There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."

Nothing you can do besides waiting. Apple screwed up and there servers were flooded today. Wait till tomorrow and try again. If it doesn't work, then go to an Apple store and ask for help.

Sounds like it's functioning perfectly fine.
Sorry, but buying an iPhone and expecting it to work to its full potential is like receiving an enema with the expectation that it will feel good.
In either scenario, you end up disappointed with a sore *** or, at least feeling a bit violated.

It sounds like you got a defective iphone.
You should contact apple and tell them the problem you are having. Or the at&t store you got it from.
