Trust me, I'm going through the same thing right now.
Everyone tells me to see a counselor, and I've done that when I was younger, but it never helped...
So I would suggest this:
- If you hate yourself, why don't you try to better your physical complexion? I'm trying to lose weight by eating healthier and skateboarding/running each day.
- I know It's tough, but try to think positively about situations. (Ex: If you're stuck in traffic one morning, don't get upset about it, think about the positives: You can fix your hair while you wait, finish up your homework, etc...)
- Meditate! I've recently learned how to meditate ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0rSmxsVHPE ) and It really helps me out when I sit down, alone, in my room, for about 30 minutes, and just clear my mind. Relax and forget about the world around you.
- Interact with others more. Talk to your friends over the phone or hang out with them on the weekends.
- Take control of the stress in your life and put it aside.
Yes go see a doc. Be totally honest with him. How much coffee, booze, cigs, diet, and exercise you having? How much are you interacting with others? Hope this helps...........Sometimes depression is merely anger turned inward.
Oh, my, yes. You really need to see a counselor and/or get a prescription drug for your depression. Don't hate yourself. You are your own worst critic and no one sees you even half as bad as you do.

yup!try to see an expert or you could simply talk to your friends or to those who dont know you..it'll make you feel a little lighter..
