I'm a 15 year old girl and I have a lot of family issues. Ever since I was a kid I heard voices while I was wide awake telling me to kill myself and my family. I never did any harm to anyone and eventually it stopped. I'm extremely paranoid and always feels like something's watching me. I see this shadowy figure all the time and have trouble sleeping. When I make plans with my friends I always end up canceling them and not wanting to talk to people or go out. My boyfriend is really the only person in my life that I talk to... I have dreams all the time that in awake in my bed and can't move and there's demons around me. It's making me go insane and my mom won't get help for me cause she thinks it's normal and I'll grow out of it..lol. Also before I sleep I hear voices saying things that have nothing to do in my life.,

Kaitlyn, it must be very frightening to go through this ordeal. You are not going crazy, so please don't think that. You need to insist that your mom take you to a psychologist for an evaluation. If she still refuses, you need to speak to an adult you trust (teacher, guidance counselor, family member). Your type of thinking and paranoia is not normal nor something you will grow out of.
I am glad you have your boyfriend to lean on for support. Once you have a proper diagnosis and get the help you need, your thinking and paranoia will subside substanially.

obviously the first two repliers did not read the entire paragraph! Your school has either a social worker or counselor that can guide you in the correct direction. This would be the correct route to go since your parents do not think its necessary to visit a specialist and I'm assuming they are not mental health providers in any format. best wishes to you!
