I was trying to do side swept bangs and ended up cutting them too thick. I cut them too high I think is the problem. It doesnt look bad when my hair is up because I can pull half of them back but when I wear my hair down (which I like to do alot) it looks like I have a big chunk taken out of the side of my head. I keep it parted to one side and I just cant figure out how to cut it to where it blends in with the rest of my hair. Even ideas on ways I could wear my hair to disguise it would help but I really want to fix the problem. I cant go to a salon right now cause I dont have the time or money! HELLLLLLPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!
Update:By the way...Im not an amatuer. Ive been cutting hair for as long as i can remember. this is a one time mess up just from not being careful. I just wanted a few suggestions on what I could do to cover it up or blend it so please dont tell me not to cut my own hair. I normally do a great job...just slipped up on this one!

The only way to thin down ur bangs would be to let them grow for a bit, and then when you get ur next cut (hopefully by a professional), only a small portion of ur bangs should be cut. The remainder, ie the longer portion on the sides, will have to be clipped back with the rest of ur hair to seperate it from the rest of ur bangs-in fact u can start doing so from now also- and allow it to grow back enough to fall in with the rest of ur hair on its own. Even when ur hair is down, a light clip that doesn't change the shape of ur hair would help u right now.
I have bangs like chantal, I don't think you can really fix it if it's too thick by cutting it again, so what I would do if I were youu would be to take a layer from the bangs and pin it back then strighten the rest so it doesn't part
hi sorry you are not going to want to hear this but you should never ever cut your own bangs, get a stylist to do it very cheap as well for just a bangs cut, you can go to a stylist and have the bangs thinned out a bit so they don't look so thick
but as you have cut them so short, it maybe better to pin them back and allow them to grow first, they will grow about half an inch a month so not long, please learn from this, you would not believe the clients I see with dodgy home haircuts
sorry but this is all true, but don't let it become an issue with you it will grow !!!
try cutting in to it a bit at a time to make it thinner be carefull not to overdo it
WEAR YOUR HAIR IN A HUMP OR SWOOP
LOL...PICTURE PLEASE!!!
UMMMMMMMMMM IDK!
