Or if you are not hot, look at your other strengths (believe me, ugly guys have been nailing hot chicks since precambrian). Then ask her out for a coffee or a tea, or anything equivalent. This should give her the right hint, without you having to make a declaration. Then it should be easier for you to find the opportunities to make your invitations.
