The only difference between high school, and middle school is that high school is bigger. People are really friendly, and they would help whenever you need help (at least that's how things are in my high school) You only have to smile, and be nice. ~_^

Just be yourself, to be honest - it's not that big of a transition between middle school and high school.
It's basically easier in high school since you get more freedom.
Tips:
Don't stress over it - just enjoy the time while you have it.
Don't try to get attention in the wrong ways.
Join sports teams/anything that'll get you in the yearbook.
Actually do your homework - it'll be worth it.
Try to make friends (be open minded)
Just basically have fun.
Ok well I'm starting my third year and the advice I would give is this;
1- Don't think you have to change just be yourself!
2- You honestly do not need a bag that's the same size as you (that's what I did and ended up changing it half way though the year :L)
3- Know they is a time to work and a time to have fun, you really need to pay attention in class.
4- Try to be social and make as many friends as you can!
5- If you need help or advice don't be afraid to ask someone in the year above, they where in the same position as you once!
6- Keep on top of your home work, do it the day you get it and get it over and done with.
7- Get to know the layout of the school in the first few weeks.
Hope you have a great time!
