I have very thick hair and a lot of it. I have had layered hair cut since the 1970's. It's the only way my hair will look good because I have way too much of it. It won't do squat if I don't keep it layered. The layers make it look feathery and the layers blend so pretty. I cut my own hair (seriously) and get compliements all the time. Just recently at church two ladies said something to me and I just had cut it the day before by myself. It's not hard to do at all. I don't have the budget for $50 a month hair cuts. It's crazy to me. Most salons always cut way shorter than you tell them to, so make sure you want it this way, then tell them you want it at least three inches longer than you really do. Maybe they won't mess it up. Hair grows about 6" a year, so if you don't like how it turns out, it will come back.

Sure it will be adorable! And hair being what it is it will grow out I love the choppy layered look and it looks good growing out too. Have live a little, live a lot. You only have this one life. and even if you leave it a bit curly it would look cute just add some gel and scrunch and go!

Go for it. Get it like the lead singer in paramore. Yes it will thin your hair out but you neccesarily have to straighten but it will look nice that way. Try it and if you hate it, then its just hair that will grow out.
