so obviously, they hang off the side of the SWAT car, 

but do they travel inside of the car until they’re a block away from their destination, THEN get on the side of the car? 

 or do they hang off the side of the car from when they’re first dispatched?

sorry if this is a stupid question, i’m just curious.
