If a hotel had a in-room safe and suggested the guests use it but guest just put it in somewhere of the room. Someone broke in and the valuable was stolen. Who is responsible for the missing items?
The Persons who's good they were even if it where in the safe the hotel has no liability in that... they didn't tell you to bring valuables in to there establishment....p.s. had $1000.00 Stolen out of an in room safe and thats where i got with it a big fat NO
Depends on how good your lawyer is. If he is good, he can find a way to hold them liable even if the goods were not in the safe. If they were in the safe, then any lawyer can probably find a way to hold the hotel liable.
I agree with "Crazykid", mainly if it seems to be an inside job. If there was forceable entry, then maybe not, but an inside job I would say a good lawyer can get you what you seek.

The Guest is. Unless they can prove neglect on the Hotels part.
The guest. The hotel provided a safe for the guest's use; it is not their fault the guest chose not to use the safe.
On a side note, it is very difficult to prove that the item was actually there in the first place.
