I am writing up my sons High School transcript, and he has failed some courses in high school. If he has made up those courses do I still have to put the failed courses on his transcript? Any other ways to write up a transcript or useful guides are welcome.

Joe, I would not put the failed courses on his transcript if he has retaken the courses and passed.
There are a number of websites on making school transcripts. Here is a collection of them:

All the best.
You can still call the K12 program and get a transcript of what they have they don't dump their records its still in the computer. Set it up the way you like best most transcripts are vertical. You don't describe courses in a transcript all you do is put in the subject and the grade don't get too fancy the college just want to see what you took and your final GPA. Your SAT scores will be more important than the transcript. You can get it notarized but why? its your transcript and Mom was your teacher they will have to take your Mom's word as an adult that you took these courses and got those grades. Let mom order the homeschool diploma she will want to frame it she was part of that process too.
Hello Joe,
I'm with Ox, I would not list any subjects that he failed, especially since he's already made them up. You will find a sample of one of my children's transcripts here: http://www.homeschool-rewards.com/transcript-y
As you may already know, there is more to a transcript than just grades. Make sure you list any other of his accomplishments! You will find ideas on the webpage above.
Hope all goes well!
