I'm going to be a freshmen this September, and my school is a big school. atleast 200+ kids each grade. I'm wondering how to be organized? I didnt get my schedules yet but the classes i'm taking are: math, science, englishA, englishB, social studies (history), christian ethics,health/physical ed, band, and practical arts (home ec+Industrial arts)
I dont have all the classes everyday. My school has a schedule like, a odd day would have 5 periods/diff subjects and the even day would have 5 different subjects too. so for example:
Odd day: Math, Science, English A, Social Studies, Gym
Even day: Math, English B, Practical arts, Band, Christian ethics
also i was wondering, do you think a 1.5 inch zip up binder would be good for a odd day, and another 1.5 inch binder for the even day? or do you recomend 1 inch binders for each period?
any tips would be helpful :)

First of all, don't buy any binders- or any school supplies, actually- until the first day of school. Just bring a pen, a folder and maybe some paper. The first day of school is dedicated to teachers telling you what you need to get for the class, so just jot it down and go shopping after. A lot of teachers want you to have a specific sized/color binder, and some will want you to keep a binder just for their class. I started my freshman year with 2 or 3 binders and by the end I had, like, 5. I would NOT recommend a 1.5 inch binder for a whole day... I tried to do that at the beginning of the year and one day it just fell apart in the middle of the hallway... So my binder advice: ALWAYS GET 2 INCH. Lol. Just try to have a different binder for each subject or at least a folder, and you'll be organized. And try not to get two of the same color so you don't accidentally grab the wrong one.
I don't know if you just wanted organization tips or general tips, so I'll make this quick: talk to people, be friendly, be yourself, get involved, and you'll be fine!
By the way, I think it's weird how all different school call the alternating days different things. Like you have odd and even days but I have day 1's and day 2's and some people have A days and B days. Why can't we just decide on one...
Well first off be prepared. I'm sure your teachers will gie you a list of things you will need for the class. I practically had a binder for each period but it may be different in your case. If you have trouble finding classes just ask a security personel. Join sports and lots of them. For that will make it easier to make friends. But also be aware of your schedule. Sports or clubs may make less time for studying. High school is just like middle school except harder classes and wayy more drama but if you make a routine you might find it to go by pretty fast.
Hope I helped
Me our school has A and B days so I had a 2.5 inch binder for each day. Trust me they fill up by the end of the first semester. High school for me is about finding yourself and real friends because trust me all of them will be tested so you will be able to find your true friends by the end of the year. Don't let rumors get to you or else you will never have a good high school year. In our school some of my friends found out bullies are real so be prepared. I wasn't bullied in my school year and many people arn't I'm just putting it out there. Be comfortable with yourself and don't feel like you need to change FFOR ANYONE FOR ANY REASON because in the end it's not worth it. I just got out of my freshman year so I know all kinds of stuff. Sophmore train has officially left the station Wooop wooooop. =D
You should keep an organizer with a schedule in the front for all your classes and then have put folders in it for each class. Maybe even have a homework journal so you can keep tabs on your assignments. You can get one of those Five Star organizers to do all that, I had one they work pretty well.
My tip: Put out.
be proud of who you are and resect yourself:p
