I'm going to be a freshmen this September, and my school is a big school. atleast 200+ kids each grade. I'm wondering how to be organized? I didnt get my schedules yet but the classes i'm taking are: math, science, englishA, englishB, social studies (history), christian ethics,health/physical ed, band, and practical arts (home ec+Industrial arts)
I dont have all the classes everyday. My school has a schedule like, a odd day would have 5 periods/diff subjects and the even day would have 5 different subjects too. so for example:
Odd day: Math, Science, English A, Social Studies, Gym
Even day: Math, English B, Practical arts, Band, Christian ethics
also i was wondering, do you think a 1.5 inch zip up binder would be good for a odd day, and another 1.5 inch binder for the even day? or do you recomend 1 inch binders for each period?
any tips would be helpful :)

Organization is different for each person. For example I keep a larger spiral notebook for each class and folders to organize papers. I think 1.5 might not be enough. You may want 2 1.5 binders for each day. (2 for your even day classes and 2 for your odd day.) For example math, science and english A in one binder, Social studies and gym in another. (split as you see fit of course!)
Wow, I have not heard of that type of schedule yet. That is a lot of classes at once! ... However, to stay organized I would suggest one binder for each day. And you may want to have just one smaller binder for Math since you have it both days. Make sure to get tabbed pocket dividers. Keep in those pockets the handouts, graded papers, etc that you get during class.
Make sure you have a file box home. With one file per class. After you test on a chapter, take all of the papers out of your binder and store them at home so that way: 1. you stay organized 2. you're not carrying around extra weight. 3. you don't lose old papers you may need for midterms or finals
Also, you may want to check out my blog this week at revampeverything.blogspot.com. I am doing a few posts on Back to School week for some organizational tips, study tips, lunch packing, etc. You may find one or two useful things there! Good Luck :)
Well i usually get just 1 folder and then i get the small folders not the binder and i seprate for each subject so i have 8 periods so i seperate all of them.
