Being a first-time buyer (well, is he?), he should get something that is very versatile, in case he goes to various fields, from indoor CQB arenas to far-range outdoor fields. In that case, the Echo1 MK36C (the G36C) is the best overall choice.

The P90 may look great with its compact, near-full metal body, but the magazines, well, it might take some time to get used to if he's a fan of wind-up hi-capacity magazines. Plus, if I can remember, it does not have iron sights (but hey, it's a CQB weapon) nor does it have a red dot sight (I have only seen the Echo1 P90-TR, never a variant with a pre-attached red dot).

The G36C is an excellent choice, it's one of the frequent "go-to" weapons from both beginning and experienced players if it came from a good brand, such as Echo1. Although it has the same barrel length as the P90 (what a coincidence), it has better magazines (hi-caps don't need to be taken out of the gun like the P90 to be winded up), more rails for accessories, and folding stock to make the rifle become a more compact weapon. It may not have the high FPS of the P90 nor its full-metal exterior body (though real G36's never had full metal bodies), but it leaves a lot of room for extra accessories and upgrades.

To me the echo 1 e90 looks terrible, nothing like a real gun, but it has better fps about 350 to 380. it only has 68 rounds witch to me sounds like it would be a pain.it also comes with two mag's witch might make up for the lack of rounds.and it is made of plastic durable but not medal. the echo 1 g36c has 470 rounds and is accurate to about 120 feet. it also has 330 fps not bad. i don't know weather it is made out of medal or plastic. good luck on airsoft hunting. cheers.
