The 56 was not a fluke but 10 years ago he would not have scored that. Funny how he scored 56 the year after the lockout when all the new rules were in place. Hes more of a 20-30 goal scorer. Jagr's season that year was the same deal. Jagr's now more of a 20-30 goal scorer. I would get rid of Cheechoo because who knows what he's going to do. Get someone like Holmstrom or someone that scores a good amount of goals every year and it doesn't matter what line he is on. I don't think Cheechoo is in that bad of a slump. I think he is playing maybe below his level but not that much below his level.
Perhaps I haven't seen enough of Cheechoo, but I wasn't left with a tremendous impression by him.
He seems like a nice complementary player. He won't make a line but can contribute to the offense when skating with more gifted players.
So, if you agree that's he's not a true offensive catalyst, your decision has to be based on whether or not he'll find his way to permanent residence on Thornton's wing.
what is up with all the cheech questions??? Anyone who posts sharks questions are just asking for me, huh???
Cheech cheech cheech. For those who pay attention, im not abig fan of his play lately.
Hes playing on Joes line, so hes bound to get a good amount of points, even though he hasnt lately.So......i say, like i said to someone else, hang on to him for the time being, until hes back on the 3rd and 4th line again. If hes on joes line, coach is seeing him improve, which is a good thing for you (and me). Once hes slipped down, i dont really see him coming back. I know people say he has a slow start, but trust me.....his bad play is going to last if it doesnt improve soon.....good luck cheech
ya...he is a great player. If you check out his stats he is the ONLY player to beat marty turco over and over...turco is a tough goalie to score against but Cheechoo can make it happen...he is a great player.

The Sharks will turn this around by Christmas. Cheechoo's recent seasons are not a fluke.
Hang on to him.

I had him on my roster the last two years but traded him off this year. Hard to say how he will perform.
if you have the room to bench him... hang on to him... especially in a deep pool...
other then that... dump him... he's an available FA in most of the pools I'm in...
Good Luck...
They'll get him bye christmas (Sharks)
