I was visiting London when the UK was placed on Lockdown and I have been trapped her ever since. Somebody has thankfully let me stay here but I can no longer use this place, I cant stay here any longer. I need to travel home to my town, but theres little information on if I can or not. Is this essential travel? I have a train ticket from Euston booked for Friday and I will literally be HOMELESS if I can't get home. Do you think I will be able to travel back? If so will I need any proof of address or anything? I'm so paranoid at this point I just want to get back home. I'm completely clear of any symptoms and my temperature is normal. Please advice?
Update:I got some advice from the non emergency police service they said I would be absolutely fine as I'm travelling alone and seems like an essential reason. They said I wouldn't even be asked so I'm just gonna go for it.

Yes, so long as there are just no restraints or restrictions where you live.
Yes, you are and always have been allowed to return to your primary home under UK emergency laws regarding essential travel.
The lockdown can't be absolute if you can book a train ticket. I found this:

Traveling to a different town because you've lost your living space should be considered sufficient reason.
I don't know who you should speak to about this other than perhaps the Police on a non-essential phoneline. They'd be the people who might pull you over, so they should be the people to clear you for travel home which should be ok, provided you wear a facemask and keep your distance from others?
