On a very hot summer day, you drink several glasses of lemonade. Lemonade is very acidic, yet the pH of your body doesn’t change. Explain where acidic substances fall on the pH scale and why your body is able to maintain a constant pH even after drinking the lemonade. What would happen to your plants if you watered them with water that had the same pH as your lemonade?

acids are located from 0-7 on the pH scale and our bodies have buffers that even out our body's pH levels.
Plants do not have these buffers and the acidity would kill them
