Ruby is my daughter's name! So naturally I adore it! I too, love Rue as a nickname, and couldn't care less if it means to regret something or not. It is only a nickname, and there are far worse out there.
Is Lee the middle name? I don't like it. I consider it very masculine, and I'm a huge 'girly, feminine' type of person.

I love the name Ruby.
I'm going to be using it as a middle name with Eloise :)
I also know two little girls called Ruby.
One Ruby-Mae, who is the daughter of my best friend who passed away.
And the other is called Ruby Irene Rose. They are both the same age, born a few days apart.
Both lovely little girls. I also went to school with a Ruby.
Anyone who is called Ruby seems to be pretty and a lovely person- very kind and friendly :)

Ruby Lee sounds endearing and elegant. â¥
I think it's good! I'd personally name my future daughter Kayla, but that's just me :p
But keep in mind though, that Rue means to bitterly regret something.
