Army: Duty transfer 4187?
I'm an E-6 in a god awful unit and I want to put in a DA 4187 to transfer to a different unit. Has anyone ever had experience with this? What was the outcome? I don't want to submit one and it get denied and be on the CO and 1SG **** list for the rest of the time I'm here. Any advice would be great, thanks again.
Update:Yeah, not that easy already tired that. I went to the Group CSM and the Ranger CSM and they both told me to put in a 4187. Believe me if it were that easy I would have been gone by now.

try talking with branch. they helped my buddy out. after we got back from the stan we had a CoC ceremony. and everythig went to complete garbage. it was bad. he went and called and branch and they cut orders for him.
If you're just trying to transfer on post, all you need to do it get your CSM to talk to the CSM of the unit you want to go to. It's usually a pretty easy thing to do.
