runescape would be a good choice....but with those sound effects of the monsters and zombies in runescape, im sure he will get scared....but if you chose to play that game....i have to warn you, ITS VERY, VERY, VERY ADDICTIVE ONCE YOU GET USED TO THE GAME. But maplestory is a great game, its designed mostly for 6-11 yr old, but you have to download that game though. Hope this helped, Good luck.

IMO, Worms is the best game for kids around 5 yrs. It is available online and as a PC installable.
